-Describe your experience on American Idol?
It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. To be able to do what I love to do on that level, in front of millions of people a week, it was awesome. Plus I got to live in Los Angeles for a couple months. That was really exciting. Then, to top it off, I got to tour the country for 2 months.

-What does your music bring to the table?
Positivity, and an assurance that there still are values running through the blood of creative people in the music industry. I don’t care about buying some random girl a drink at the club. I want to show woman that they are worth more, and should be treated as such. And these dudes out here need to learn a little more respect for a woman who has the power to create a life. Respect is all I’m asking for anyone to demand, or give.

Issues
-How can we change the industry, being that we are future role models?
Express positivity in everything that we do. Express our values and our morals. Don’t cop out to doing something to make money when it goes against what you believe. Sand uo for what you believe. You can do more on your feet than on your . . . you know what I mean.

Future
-What does the future hold for you?
In the studio recording an album now with a producer friend of mine by the name of Will Smith. No, not “Get Jiggy with It”. This Will Smith plays the keys like it ain’t nobody’s business. Blees him.

Whatever God sends me to do. Some performances in the near future, and the album that has been waited on by millions around the world. It’s on the way.

-Advice for upcoming singers.
Believe in you and do you. Don’t let anybody tell you no. You only fail by giving up. Keep God first, and all that is second will be a Blessing.
