-What is your age?

-Where were you born?
My mother’s actually from Central America…Panama to be exact. My biological father was in the military & got stationed in Ft. Clayton Army Base. That’s where he met my mother, got married & I was born on the military base & we moved to Killeen, TX soon after.
-Where did you get the name “Spark Dawg”?
I use to make & sell “Gold Grillz” back in high school so everybody started callin me “Sparky.” Once I got older, I dropped the “Y” & just went by “Spark.” Once I started takin rap seriously I added the “Dawg” because I thought it sounded “cool” @ the time plus I’ve actually owned a few pit bulls in my life so I’ve always had an interest in dogs period ya dig?
-After doing shows and being in the studio, you like to…?
Go back to my hotel room, light a DRO sweet & critique footage from the show. I’m my biggest critic so I like to go back & watch my performance footage to point out ways to improve it.
-Favorite TV show?
Right now prolly “1st 48” (besides Rap City of course)

The fact that we’re right in the middle of the 2 biggest music cities in our state. We have Dallas right above us & Houston right below us. We’re the part of Texas that the whole world really hasn’t been exposed to but July 15th Scarface presents Greencity “Brand New Money” & that’ll all changed fasho!
-Do you see yourself living there forever, or eventually moving?
I actually have a spot in H-town & a spot in D-town when I’m out on the road but my primary location @ the moment is my hometown of Killeen, TX. I actually JUST moved into a 3 bedroom house with a built in studio ran by my homie Dyce & The Blessin…We makin moves out here ya dig?
Music 
-How long have you been rapping?
I prolly wrote my 1st real flow around the age of 13 but I actually took the rappin thang serious around 99 or 2000 if I’m not mistaken.
-Who inspires you?
LIFE in general inspires me. But as far as other artists, I like Bun B, Ludacris, Fabolous…Everybody likes Jay, Big & Pac…& Weezy killin da game right now. There’s alotta different shit I draw inspiration from, like the fact that my mom is in her 50’s & still works a 9 to 5…I wanna be able to help my mother retire so she can enjoy the rest of her life. MY MOTHER, that’s what inspires me ya dig?

A breath of fresh air…Quote me on this “There’s NO other rapper from Texas makin the kind of records I choose to make. I’m in my own lane & that’s why I feel like I’m winning.” I’m not out here tryna prove that I’m the toughest dude on the planet but I’m a MAN so if you disrespect me I’ma come see you. But other than that, I’m just a young fly nigga with some ole’ school ways tryna make my momma proud. That’s all…
-Describe your dream collaboration.
Me, Pac & Biggie woulda been an ill collab cuz you got Pac holdin it down for the West, Biggie holdin it down for the East, & ME Spark aka SparkDawg holdin it down for the South fasho…That would be the illest record of all time! lol
-Who do you feel is your competition, if anyone?
I’m my own competition. alotta rappers are good for they’re own unique reasons. I feel like nobody can do what I do better than me so I don’t really waste time comparing myself to any other artists. In MY mind I’m thee BEST RAPPER EVER & I feel like every real rapper should feel the same.
-Favorite song to perform?
I usually start alotta shows off with “Swung & Swang.” That gets the crowd hype automatically. If they’re alotta ladies in the crowd I like to do “Big Meat” lol “Pour It On Da Modelz” is definitely a fan favorite when I’m on stage.
-Where did you get the concept for your song “Pour It On Da Modelz?
Actually 1 of my in-house producers Tha Francize came up with the concept. He sent me the beat & the rest was history ya dig? Shout out to my homie Coota Bang from Swishahouse for jumpin on the remix.
Future 
-What’s next?
After the Greencity album drops, I’ma immediately drop my indy underground album called “Welcome 2 Killeen” (Small City Big Thangz) & follow up with my MAJOR label album “DA LONE STAR KID.”
